OUR MISSION
The mission of Helping Hands Inc. is to champion the causes of innocent children across the globe, empowering them to live lives filled with courage, happiness and determination.
Children are the world's most precious commodity, our most valuable natural resource. They hold the key to a brighter tomorrow. Many of the world's children are living in incredibly deplorable conditions, lacking food, clothing, proper health care and education. some are homeless with bleak prospects and little or no determination for the future. Helping Hands Inc. was formed to address the needs of these children. Founded by Kausha Siriwardana, the organization works tirelessly to instill a renewed sense of self-worth through compassion and education as we seek to break the cycle of generational poverty.
As we move deeper into our mission, the organization has begun planning the construction of chapters throughout the world to assist the needs of these children, addressing their most basic needs in a nurturing environment.
GLOBAL CENTER
Located in Stephenville, Texas USA, 1200 acres will be dedicated to healing, education, and recreation in a peaceful, natural environment which will encompass every nation's cultures, history and traditions. The hotel and guest quarters are surrounded by the International Center (200 Pagodas, one for each nation),the 2,000 seat outdoor theater, the World Organic Garden, the Center for Health and Healing, a 40 acre lake and the "Shanthi" nature pavilion. All of this and more are encompassed by the Wall of Confidence.
This peaceful and serene setting will promote peer teaching and natural healing. The education and learning from each culture will be combined to help all children in all nations through the Global Chapters.
LOCAL CENTERS
We realize that poverty knows no boundaries and our community is not immune to the pains that come with this unfortunate condition. With that said, Helping Hands Inc. is planning to construct its global headquarters in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan region. The new facility, located in Garland, Texas USA, will be a state of the art complex and will allow Helping Hands Inc. to impact the local community in the same fashion we have impacted communities abroad.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Helping Hands Inc. was founded in 2003 by Kaushalya Siriwardana. A native of Sri Lanka, Mrs. Siriwardana has worked tirelessly to bring attention to the needs of impoverished children throughout the world. She saw, first hand, the disastrous conditions of poverty and the manner in which it can harm the lives of children who are exposed to it. As a child she would freely share all she had with the disadvantaged children. That generous heart and genuine compassion for children is what continues to fuel her spirit. Although she has been a citizen of the United States for well over 30 years, she has never forgotten what she saw in her youth. She has made it her life's mission to eradicate this condition and shepherd children across the globe to a brighter future.
